The crash occurred at about 8:10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 29 southbound South of Plainfield Avenue in Edison Township, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
Route 1 had been reopened by 9:30 a.m., according to Edison Police Deputy Chief Robert Dudash Jr.
There were no life-threatening injuries, he said.
